Derby day social

Tipsy Parson hosted their 5th annual Kentucky Derby party this year with Garden and Gun Magazine as the Sponsor. Cocktails were by Bulleit Frontier Whiskey and there was a contest for best dressed hosted by Vineyard Vines. The bluegrass band played all day as people wearing fabulous fancy hats and fitted seersucker suits dined on a delicious Southern spread and sipped (a lot) of beautiful bourbon cocktails.

The Kentucky Mule: Bulleit Rye, limeade, Sweatman’s Ginger beer.

The Odd Man Out: Bulleit, roasted beet, cinnamon syrup, lemon juice, Fino sherry, bitters, sage.

It wouldn’t be Derby day without cold mint juleps and these were made with a lot of ice and lots of Bulleit bourbon.
